Chicano Art Collective

Es una agrupación de ciudadanos de la frontera, artesanos, creadores, técnicos y profesionistas dedicados a resolver las necesidades que se presentan en el desarrollo social de nuestra comunidad a partir del fenómeno del crecimiento demográfico en la frontera, implementando estrategias de gestión cultural.

Colectivo Torath

Colectivo Torath is a multidisciplinary organization focused on the conservation of cultural and natural heritage, sustainable urban development and social assistance. It seeks the recovery, creation and innovation of cultural heritage, promoting respect for the cultural diversity of people, through the generation of projects, plans and programs through the active participation of communities, involving the various sectors in their development. . As an important part of the lines of action of the Torath A.C. Collective. Strategic alliances have been created such as with CHICANO ART COLLECTIVE and NICH Arte Textil Chiapas, with whom a fraternal relationship of collaboration is established, creating synergies to strengthen culture from the North-South borders, creating a strong bond of union from the extremes for Mexico. Currently Torath and Chicano Art Collective are jointly participating in promoting a candidacy built from the base of the creative community of Mexicali, so that it can be integrated into the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, as a City of Cinema.

UNESCO

The UNESCO Creative Cities Network was created in 2004 to promote cooperation towards and between cities that identify creativity as a strategic factor in sustainable urban development. The 246 cities that currently make up the Network work together towards a common objective: position creativity and cultural industries at the center of their local development plan and actively cooperate internationally on the matter.
